I'm not sure, it was installed when the flat was built so... engh.
I should clarify, it's not 100% broken, I can still get hot water with the "boost" button, it's just that the timed element seems to have crapped out. :\ LUCKILY it's JUST hot water, so dishwashing and showers need to be a bit pre-planned. My flat's pretty well insulated and we've not had any killer cold weather (yet), and I have electric heaters, so...
...yeah, I just like to make a fuss about nothing, really. ;) Except that HOW FRIGGING DARE IT BREAK DOWN at the MOST EXPENSIVE time of year! *grrgrr*
-30C sounds COOOOooooollld. *shivers* I'd rather it be chilly than hot, because at least you can usually wrap up warmer in the cold, but that'd even beat my cold-preferring tendencies. :\
I'm the opposit as I get cold very easily, particularly my hands and feet. So it's a good thing we usually only get a week or two of -20 or -30 degree weather during the winter here. It's like that outside right now actually, *shivers* luckily my landlord has a woodstove. :)
Do you rent the apartment or do you own it? If you rent you could probably get the landlord to fix the boiler for you.
Even just a week or two of -30C would make me go "augh gonna hibernate now". Preferring cold =/= liking it. :P
Unfortunately I own the property (well, I'm paying off my mortgage very slowly. :P) so I've got to arrange to get it fixed myself. At least I know what's wrong with it now, mind.
