*ponderings*

Considering maybe putting some scratty notes in here for my next idea before I go off on my 3-day training course tomorrow, just because I can. Yay, Nay? Going to try and get some of my doodles finished up while I'm "AFK" (well, "AFI", I'll be taking my mini-lappie with me); I have quite a few that are currently languishing half-inked and stuff. ¬_¬ And I have GOT to finally get one done of Deuce - he's still a pretty fluid entity in my brain, I need to pin him down in terms of looks - and one COLOURED of the wee ones. (I keep forgetting what colours Footloose is, and I have no idea at all about Slipstream.)

Unrelated: I have discovered why "Ursofalk" suspension (ursodeoxycholic acid) should have a short shelf life once opened. I've got an old one here that a patient has returned, and it's all turned to white gloopy jelly in the bottle. *bleaugh* It looks like a bottle of sliiiightly gloopy Doublebase.

One should never go anywhere without a computer. ;) Looking forward to seeing coloured sparklings. For some reason I've been assuming they're just silver all over.

I...would not be opposed to this idea. >_> WE'RE GOING TO MISS YOU HOSHIT.

Bwahah-

WAIT that means I've got to get it coherent enough to post. CRAP.

*flails about on floor*

Noooo, don't leeeeave us! *clings* ;)

You've got me curious, what is it about this Ursofalk that makes it do that (sounds icky BTW)? It sounds like an oxygen reaction maybe?

[identity profile] keaalu.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
There, now, look, the two of you have triggered a fit of the Must-Find-Outs and I'm crawling through Drugdex to see if there's any mention of the stuff's chemical properties. :P

XDD FOR SCIENCE!

(I swear that I was a scientist in a past life...hell, I think I still am. I may have a degree in graphics, but I minored in Astronomy. XD;;;;)

[identity profile] jill-dragon.livejournal.com 2009-01-09 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Sweet, Astronomy always sounded fun to me...up until you get the point where you're doing complex mathematical and physics equations.

[identity profile] muffins-of-god.livejournal.com 2009-01-10 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
XD Yeah, my minor stopped before I had to take classes like Astrophysics and Astromechanics. Which is good....because I never made it past pre-calc.

The funny thing was the Astro dept hired me to do a logo for their observatories since I was the artistically inclined one. XD

I'm figuring it probably is a reaction with oxygen, since the stuff is usually at least RUNNY in the bottle. But then, its shelf life is only 48 months and the stuff is certainly older than that, so... I don't know, it could just be the cellulose in the suspending base doing funny stuff because it's old. *ponders*

[identity profile] jill-dragon.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Well cellulose is usually hard to break down because of the shape of its molecules. So I'm still betting on the oxygen, although you're the expert naturally. :)

[identity profile] keaalu.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's got to be something to do with contact with the air, I agree - once you open the bottle, you shouldn't use it after 4 months, which usually means the suspension has gone strange. I just thought it was odd that it had gone so glutinous and disgusting-looking. Maybe the components react in the presence of oxygen to make GLOOP. An answer is needed in the name of SCIENCE, I think.

But I can't find any information. *wah* I may have to phone the company on my lunch next week, UNDER A PRETEXT of serious work or something ¬_¬ But you didn't hear me say that. ;)

Your secret is safe with us. ;)

Ahaha, I have a fic for you.

(Note...I didn't write it. But it's BRILLIANT)

FOR SCIENCE!! (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4346146/1/%3Cb%3EStand%3C_b%3E_%3Cb%3EBack%3C_b%3E_Im_%3Cb%3EGoing%3C_b%3E_To_%3Cb%3ETry%3C_b%3E_%3Cb%3EScience%3C_b%3E)

Hah, the "For science" line reminds me of this fic: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4094571/1/Those_Tentacle_Blues by Amidoh. Warning, slash ahoy! And tentacles, lots of tentacles. ;)

XDDD Hahaha, voyeurism...for science.

I...got the distinct mental image of a kid with two dolls...makin' em kiss from this fic. I don't know how to unsee it...

This, totally.

Bwahaha, I've read this one. (...although BEFORE I started writing, because I've not had time to read much since. ;) Waaaaay too busy and stuff.)

Bwahaha, awesome. :D

XD I love both of the flabbergasted responses from Starscream and Wheeljack.
