I've heard the term "electronic alien" before, probably from the same place that you have (since you've drawn the horns and ears almost the same way). Are they really synthoid beings? That one guy, the blue guy (I forgot his name) was rather sexy, I think. :D

To be honest, I don't know, really - Sunny Colaneri (the owner of the concept) did a journal entry ages ago inviting other people to create characters, and I took her up on it, but that's all I really know. They're electrically-based aliens, but I'm still not sure how "roboty" they are.
