Been here in my flat a grand total of about three months (moved in end of July) and I'm moving again. :P I was on the waiting list for an en-suite room, since they didn't have any free at the time I moved in, and finally one's come free, so yay! Although before last sunday I'd been hmm-ing a lot about if I wanted to move after all - I'm happy here, I have brand spanking new intarweb (well, not so new now) and a phone line and so on, and moving might mean I have to get a new telephone line installed (which is about £70 *sob* At least BT reconnect you for free), and blagh blagh blagh...
Finding maggots in the kitchen clinched the deal for me. One of my flatmates is a pain in the arse, she rarely washes up and never cleans the kitchen, leaving it to my other housemate and I, and already we were pissed off with it all, but I was still undecided until I found those little wrigglers. *blechs* All I'm thankful for is that they weren't near any food, they were on the floor by the bin, where they'd been lurking under a binbag.
Ming ming ming. *blechs* So on the 19th November I'm moving house. Well, moving flat. Yay!
In artly matters, I've managed to ink the Dignitary pic I was working on, and I'm going to at least START to try colouring it on the computer. As ever I'm sure I'll peter out and go "bleh can't be arsed any more" but it's a start, at least... I'm not sure if I'll even end up writing more for the story she's in, but it's good practice. I'm trying to carry off a halfway reasonable "half-blood" Dignitary, too, since uncovering her in "Empire of Fire" - I'd forgotten I'd created her, and I thought she'd make a good character to involve, since she fits the Shalyavei remit pretty well. And in my eye she's got some rather nice colours; pale pewter skin, slightly greyed-lilac feathers and powder-blue-lilac eyes. So we'll see.
My creative side has been coming up with a better, longer, more convoluted plot for "Contagion", as well, which is GOOD. I've been in a rut when it comes to my writing for so long it's nice to be back in the groove again. I'm involving more of the cast, too - well, making up some more colours, anyway. ;) And I've decided it would be cute for "Lt Heather" to have the real name Erica ;) (Work it out. :P)
Why do I always ramble like this when I'm just intending making a little diary entry to say something like "found maggots, moving house"? Nyeh.
