"Without you I fall apart" - just a silly schmaltzy thing, you can probably guess who it concerns. The name is illustrative - should be taken as partly literally, and partly metaphoirically.
"Overcompensating" - ... again you can probably guess. ;) Think "peacock", and think also what Kiravai are... not exactly famous for. ;)
Last idea is just some costumery; Coalition Halcyon uniform (probably for Heron/Ardea), Kiravai nursing uniform (like a cross between the NHS and Florence Nightingale, I think. ;) ), something DuSkai (the mantle gets in the way on a lot of designs, so that'll take a rethink).
And for some reason Iios has decided he'd like to get back into a command post, and is... well, aiming high. :P He thinks he'd make a fairly snazzy captain, at very least. Although I'm sure carrying point on duty is against some kind of Halcyon regulation (mind you, would YOU argue with him about it? :P)
Edit: Oh, and I've started to pin down the Zaar a little - before they were more crowlike, but they've since gone a little like a phalarope, an odd species of birds where gender roles are reversed (compared to the Earth norm) - the female is the most brightly coloured, actively courts the male, then buggers off once she's laid her eggs to let him brood them and look after the chicks. :P I thought it'd make a nice comparison to the Kiravai, at least, which is a very masculocentric society.
