Heh, probably. ;) Or at least have the "misperception" of being ABLE to own one, since there's a Coalition Mandate regarding "Synthetic Life" that states they are people, not property. Not everyone reads such instructions, mind - if Ive hadn't been so casually betrayed by a certain Stargazer, and "lent" to the Kiravai, she'd probably still be the only one in existence in my universe. :P
Agreed on the second point, although I'm always a little hesitant to say that on MY part as I'm a little uncertain that I wouldn't be clinging to them just BECAUSE they were Synth - and that's Ivy's most driving fear, that she's only liked/loathed for the sum of her parts, not because she's likable as a person, or for any errors in judgement she may have made. ...this is why I don't do psychology.
