Not looking forward to work tomorrow. :( Week before last, everything went completely to shit - first of all , a security guard (from the store across the other side of the high street!) caught a 70-year-old lady filling her handbag with makeup and stuff, which meant he had to borrow a member of staff (from a grand total of six of us) to help determine what she'd pinched and what she'd bought. I had to then go and tell two of the staff off for skiving out the back - the girl is leading the guy a merry dance, she has a boyfriend but is leading the guy on and he thinks he actually stands a chance. :P Which meant they were "how dare she tell us what to do she's only here once a week ra ra ra etc" - well, 'scuse me, kids, you're paid to be here and WORK and if I have to TELL you what to do then so be it. I don't care if you're 18; this is an adult environment, not a school, and if you want to be treated like an adult then you better start ACTING like one. After that, we discovered that one of the chillers was freezing the sandwiches (but only after a man brought one back and complanied it was frozen!), and I discovered some fruit salads that had passed their sell-by date in the shopfloor fridge, one of which was MOULDY because the fridge was faulty and not keeping them cool. Which my dear 18-year-old children would have FOUND if they'd not been skiving out the back and actually done their JOB.

...so it is with a sense of reticience that I consider work tomorrow. Especially as I'm coming down with the mother of all colds. :P Bluuurgh.

...on a completely unrelated matter, "gamma knife radiosurgery" is a wicked-cool description and I want to use it somewhere. :D
