Tonight is my first night on-call, and I am so completely bricking it it's unreal. I am 90% attached to my mobile phone (which has a new profile called "on-call" on it), and I probably won't dare go to bed in case they ring me and tell me they need beriplex or some complicated horrible antiepileptics we don't keep or filgrastim or the fridges are alarming or auuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuublblblblkweoiu. And I came in from work (2 hours late because I was finishing up in the dispensary) to find my phone flashing with a message - CRAP NOT ALREADY. Luckily THAT was from "MortgageTalk" (apparently "I already have a mortgage now PISSOFF" doesn't mean anything to them) but augh.

YES I AM STRESSED THANKYOU. (See that icon, it's a stressed face tonight, not an angryface.)

I only hope it gets easier because NO MONEY is worth this. :(

It also doesn't help that I have to be at Boots to start my morning saturday shift at 8:30, when my on-call officially ends. I'm so not going to sleep.

First telephone call. *sob* But it's okay, it's "Suffolk Doctors On Call" asking me about a prescription that had been written for some steroids for a man going in for ENT surgery on thursday. We agree the man can call into pharmacy tomorrow morning to pick them up. Phew. It's not Beriplex.

It's odd, on-call freaks me out but being 100% manager at Boots on Saturdays isn't a problem at all. :P
