Tremoctopus
Monday, 9 March 2009 06:10 pmHow awesome is this creature? *woo*
You might want to watch it with the sound off, the music gets a little annoying after a while (well, it annoyed ME, anyway.)
Stills: Silhouetted against the surface
Swimming
And where would a reference post be without a Wikipedia entry?
I want to add octopi and stuff to the spider!kitty world. :(

Date: 10 Mar 2009 06:03 am (UTC)I've been facinated with cephalopods ever since writing a paper about them during my first year at university. Did you know that some scientists credit octopi with intelligence equal to that of a cat's? It's been shown that they can learn and remember as well as being capable of recognizing objects and basic problem-solving. They're also very good escape artists (as many aquariums will tell you).
Do spider!kitties like water? Given the animals they shared traits from I'd almost think not.

And they make "fake joints" in their arms to help them lift and manipulate things.
As for spider!kitties and water, I'm not sure. Fred likes fish eggs! But they made Screamer go get them, he didn't go fishing about for them himself. *ponders*
