If devART does not allow erotic art to be uploaded, then why do I have a goddamn advert for erotic art on my devART page? (Nothing against the ad itself, per se, just annoyed at the double-standards and the fact it'll probably reflect badly on MY art).

DA doesn't have direct control over what is advertised, but you can contact them and raise a stick over it. However if it's a Suicide Girls ad you're talking about, don't bother: that one has been brought up so many times it's a 'dead horse issue'. In other words SG is not considered 'erotic' thus can stay in the ad cycle.

If they SELL advertising space, how can they NOT know they're selling advertising-space to "myeroticart.com" or whatever it was? I see the point, it's just the double standards piss me off.

They sell to an advertising agency, not to an individual site, and the agency posts ads for many sites. Therefore, as I said before, DA doesn't have direct control over the ads. If there's a problem with an ad, DA has to contact that agency about it to get it resolved. I sure there's more technical issues along with it as well, but I am not about to try to figure that out....

I fail to see the sense in selling advertising space and not knowing who you're selling it to - there's no point in specifying what you can and can't upload, to keep the site vaguely family-friendly, if you're then going to have adverts for pornography on it. The words "fooking" and "stupid" spring to mind first and foremost.

Then again, I guess, this IS devFART, and since when has "sense" ever been applied over there?
