Hm. Ancestor.... Didn't you have some sort of question about Ivy "owning" synth?
If they're actually derived from her, perhaps "owning" is the wrong term. Considering how we're dealing with a mechanic bond of a sort, I'm trying to imagine how Ivy would treat synth, being one herself, especially if she knew they were based on her structure - possibly in a maternal sense? Would that qualify for being the offspring of a synth - assuming anything would, mind you - ?
