Hm, I don't know if it's just me, since I don't much care for manga/anime style in the first place, but if I DID...

...with a cover like this, it sure doesn't inspire me into the author's ability to draw manga in the FIRST place...

That girl's face is going to give me nightmares for a WEEK.

Those are the exact same thoughts as ran through my mind. :P

I like the new icon, BTW. ;)

Holy shit, she has NO NOSE.

And why is that boy in the background pointing to the mech's genital area?

Well, she DOES have a nose (it's more visible on the actual book, which I saw in a bookshop yesterday), it's just really, REALLY SMALL. It's like the guy took a lot of pictures of some manga schoolgirl in all different sizes and glued them together. :P

As for your latter point, I really have no idea...

I pray that girl doesn't get excited or does anything strenious...as I doubt she can get enough air though that tiny nose. Must suffer from dry mouth a lot...;)

Hehehe, I was going to mention the whole robophilia thing, but I think Keaalu is sick of me talking about it by now. :p

That girls 'nose' looks more like a smudge. Gods I've read and watched anime that was ten times better then what this cover has.

Yeah. It was more "noselike" on the book, but that doesn't excuse how TINY it is. ;) You'd think they'd put their BEST art on the cover, to tempt you to buy it - although this could BE their best art. :P

Shades of Ulario's "how to draw anthros" book. ;) "...And please, for the love of God, never succumb to the temptation to ERASE YOUR PENCIL LINES... if you DO give in to this most heinous of sins, at least leave all the erasings over the paper when you scan it. Your time is far too precious to make your work as presentable as possible!"

Please tell me that's just an exaggeration...

As for the shown cover, that girl has no face. That isn't a face. Period. The entire front side of her head is completely flat. Look at it again and tell me otherwise...

What's an exaggeration, the Ulario bit? Yes. Well, mostly. I'm sorely tempted to buy it just to get angry about how she can be so sure of her abilities she can write it (and SELL it!), but I wouldn't want to encourage her. :P

The "nose" was a teenytiny "v" on the book itself - the artefacts in that .jpg made it into a blur - but yes, the flatness was what struck me as particularly scary. That and the HUGE OH GOD SO FRICKIN' ENORMOUS HUGE EYES and tiny little mouth.
