Watching "Cube" while it's thundering outside is proooobably not the best idea in the world. :P

Edit: And "Short Circuit 2" STILL messes me up, even 17 years later. :P

Cube. That's the one where the building tries to kill people, right?
All I remember of it is a scene where someone gets cut in half by an elevator.

Not very realistic, but I've been afraid of the bloody things ever since...

That sounds more like this film (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108371/) (which is pretty awful).

Oh my lord, that sounds... egh. :P I vaguely recall a different movie where some silly bint gets sliced in half by a lift ("Oh my gawrsh, the lift is mostly stuck halfway and we know there's a problem with it because it keeps on slipping down a couple of inches when we move, so why don't I just crawl out this little space here because I'm such a brave clever person to go get help... *skish*"), though, so maybe it's a common idea in a number of films. :P

*nods* What Starglider said - although "Cube" is equally dire, and pretty much everyone dies. :P Essentially, six strangers are trapped in a "maze" - each room is a cube, and has a portal/door in each side, leading to other cubes with other portals and other doors. Some of the cubes are boobytrapped, though - you go in and get sprayed with acid or sliced to bits by cheese-wire, crap like that. Although it seemed like they were killing each other more than the cubes killed them. :P
