Phoenix dance! Or something. Working cover for my sketchbook. Started out as Magpie, but then went flamey and voila, magpie-phoenix-thing. Or maybe, maaaybe, it's a humanoid version of the esu'vei (this creature) - like we mere humans "humanise" mythical beings, I guess the Kiravai probably would stand them upright too every now and then. They certainly have their own type of "anthropomorphics". The bright lines are supposed to be a bit like where hot things are brighter at the edges, y'know? Anyway. Need to tighten the bright bits (although I'll need my white acrylic for that), but this is what she looks like so far.

For now, she's called "Twokay", since the sketchbook is "2k7". ;)

Fiery. Did the flower stuff (along with the dance and happy wording) come on the sketchbook cover to begin with, or is that part of your addition as well?

Well, whatever it is, it's well done. Double-entandre or otherwise.

It was just a 100% blank brown recycled sketchbook, when I got it, so everything you see is my addition. :) I'm thinking of playing around with the whole "greyscale with white highlights" I've seen people do.
