No, this is nowhere near being finished. But I need help with it. I can't think what the heck sort of colour to do the background, as I don't just want it to be white.
My Stellar Phoenix
I slapped on a few ideas in PhotoMinus, and I kinda like the black because it makes her stand out (which was an accident when I clicked "negative" instead of "replace colours") but my GOODNESS will that ever kill my pens...

OH HALP. :(

Edit: I'm such a nimwit. I could add the smexy black background ON THE COMPUTER. LIKE I JUST DID. Chriist. Real-media is addling my brain. Still, I'd still like people's opinions, please? I've stared at this way too long.

More later, but right now I have to speed off to the shops before they shut.

I'll be honest to say that the black and blue design you put behind her makes finding a decent background color difficult, since it already 'brings her out' a bit.

On that case...I would suggest using a black background, but instead of the blue or green 'halo' maybe you should try an orangeish color? Nothing too bright to detract from her.

*nods* That had been my first instinct, it was just that the swirly ribbon thing is also black and I didn't want it to get too lost (since there probably won't be that white halo around the edge when I do it "properly").

I'll have another go at getting the orange to work (well, once I've finished the drawing itself) - I tried it the first time and couldn't get it to work, as it stopped looking like space and more like "generic orange background blob". BAH.
