Just as a passing thing, I found this CD (scroll down to "Bombay Mix") in "the Wharf" (sells all kinds of New Agey candles and tie-dye clothes and World Music and stuff - not usually my thing but eh, whatever) in Ipswich, and I love it. :) It's so completely the sort of thing I hear in my brain when thinking of my little worlds.

"Bombay Mix"

Edit: haha, the sampler for the Egypt CD reminds me of the kind of soundtrack they'd play on some kind of 1960s James Bond film. I may have to get it when I next go into town, solely for that reason. ;) Good inspirations! Yay. The "African Voices" is quite cool too - reminds me of Xniki. And this one would be much more enjoyable if I didn't instantly think of the Macarena.

"Dale a tu cuerpo, Alegria Macarena
Que tu cuerpo es pa darle, Alegria y cosa buena
Dale a tu cuerpo, Alegria Macarena
Eh, Macarena! AI! *does the Macarena*"

Edit: So okay, it WAS a passing thing until I started listening to the other samplers. :P And I'm loving those steel drums.

I'm curious as to why it is that when finding themselves at the bottom of a hole of their own making, 90% of people just keep on digging. :P

It'd make "The Apprentice" a lot less entertaining, though.
