WHERE did all these frigging flying ants come from? *itch itch* Seriously, on my way in to work there were none, then as I leave, BAM, the pavements are covered in them.

Maybe they just like the heat - it's been pretty close here, today, and quite still, not much wind - they don't look like the greatest of fliers. So... good luck to them, I guess?

I just wish they'd stop landing on ME.

Yeah, definitely ants; big old queen ones. I'm not sure we HAVE termites here, to be honest... I'll have to look it up.

They require specific weather conditions for the only flight of their life, so when the weather happens to be right every ant colony brings out all it has.

*nods* Yeah, I guessed it must be something like that - it was just odd that it wasn't ALL day, but JUST at 3:30pm, and they were gone again by about 7. O_o

Yes, they do that. Mum always says they have to hurry in case it rains in a few minutes. ;)
