Back to work. Poot

…Or should that be, “Zero worship”? Of all the creatures I remember from when I was REALLY young (and I mean young – two, three? The series was televised in 1984) only one really stands out (aside from, of course, the Scarlet characters), and that was Sergeant Major Zero. I ADORED him. And now I have a Terrahawks DVD, I can repeat the process. Yay!
Giving a zeroid visible emotion is NOT easy. When they’re moving about, no problems. When they’re just sitting there… nuh-uh.
And I am so completely in love with these gorgeous little fellers already:
Epaulette shark
I saw them first on Sunday, on a “Natural World” program on the BBC (although I’ve seen cat sharks before, and was of the same opinion then, although not so inspired), and decided they were too adorable to pass up the chance. Stills photos just do not do tem justice. I’ve already designed a “mermaid”ish species for my fiction around them; I think they’re going to be the native sapient species on the ocean world the le’Trai and DuSkai took up home on. All I know so far is that they’re small, shy, and not the smartest of creatures – more like an intelligent monkey than a human – but who cares when you have “cute” on your side?
Picture up in the next few days, maybe.
Edit: Stupid LJ. Why is it that HTML code that works everywhere else DOESN'T work here, and code that works HERE DOESN'T work anywhere else? RAGH.
