Passing it on...

I would never be one to say I'm PeTA's biggest fan - I support the RSPCA, I'm big on animal rights, but PeTA's just a little TOO animals rights for me - you know, the sort of animal rights that borders on putting them above humans, when I feel we all deserve an equal deal, sort of thing? Anyway.
This is a link that's been passed around on devART for a while, it seems, so I'm just... passing it on, you know?
Be warned - this IS graphic. No kidding. This is footage shot of the Chinese fur industry, as they "process furs" - as in, skin the animal. While it's still alive and still kicking. How much effort is it to actually kill the animal if you're THAT GODDAMN DESPERATE for it's pelt? Obviously too much for some.
Now, I consider myself to have a fairly strong stomach and sometimes I force myself to watch things I don't want to watch, just to spur myself on to greater lengths to get things like this stopped, but even I had to turn this off before it was more than 30 seconds in.
...now compare that to the Fur Industry that tries to tell you that fur is good, wholesome and natural.
