I've been watching the development of the "Furry Horrors Wiki", because I have trainwreck-syndrome ("don't want to but can't help looking"), and one of the "horrific artists" has decided that she doesn't like being slandered and added a little snippet to her Wiki page:

"However, unfortunatly because of years of flame wars, backstabbing and discrimination against her because of what she chooses to harmlessly draw, [she] has long since left the furry community behind. But after what she has been through thanks to communities such as VCL Horrors and other backstabbers who can honestly blame her? She is a very sweet person and does not deserve the label of disgust that has been stuck upon her."
(...which naturally got edited back OUT about 10 minutes later by the admins...)

Sure, I sympathise for those having the piss taken, but c'mon, dearies, if you can't stand the heat, how about get out of the kitchen? If you're going to draw your character as an amputee toilet-taur with mushrooms growing from the eyes, you can't really blame people for going "OMGWFTBBQ?!" I know *I'D* expect it if *I* drew it.

Let's face it; Tracy Emin got a lot of flak for her unmade bed, but hey, she won the Turner Prize. (As a sidenote, however, I hate her, she's almost the biggest-headed egotesticle creature on the face of the planet. But that's unrelated to the art, it's related to her as a person, for being a dickhead.)

It does amaze me how pissy people get when even with 'non horror' pics we point out things wrong. You'd think that artwork that has a major 'WTFH' factor you would get flak for it, such the one Bentos did recently: which he finally took down because he was getting an extreme amount of flak for it.

I know that if I did such a 'WTF' pic I wouldn't post it unless I was fully mentally prepared for the flak I 'know' would come.
