Christmas = good. Not ate too much for once. Good gifts, like, yay! And I have me a little challenge - I got one of those mini six-colour paintboxes (and I mean MINI, barely one and a half inches long) out of a cracker, and I want to see if it's physically possible to create something vaguely good with it. :)

(Well, almost all was good, but then I wasn't expecting much from my work "Secret Santa", even though I stressed about getting something nice and appreciate-able for MY SS-person. Oh well. I suppose it's like art SS-s, some people labour over their art for days, but others just slap something together in 30 minutes.)

Writing: Busy with a rewrite of #1, RtA, trying to get the beginning to make more sense and tie in with the ending (and have a PLOT, goddamnit), and reworking a lot of dialogue, especially from Iver's point of view - after all, a lot was written well over two years ago and it makes me CRINGE, and the technology isn't up to spec either (at the start, science came secondary to plot, but I want both vaguely equal now, and I need to rethink Ivy's specs.) And, of course, I want to FINISH the damn thing, then I can look harder at my timeline and work out some of the kinks, get rid of some of the angst-ridden fluff that I seemed to be putting everywhere, tighten it all up. Although I have this urge to do another collaboratory story with someone, as a lot of the time ideas and new scenarioes to practice, come from them that I wouldn't have had before, so that's going to niggle at me for, liek, forever, man. *would highlight that in flashing text, but that's just a little... well, grrmaking*

Art: I have a couple of semi-realistic pencil portraits of some of my characters that I'm well chuffed with (especially Azure's picture, the main canon Kiravai Synth) and need to upload at some point, then try colour them. (PS Danji, I'm still waiting on a description, here... *twiddles thumbs...* ;) ) I'm also busy with something more silly - I mean, the number of people I've seen go "I like Egypt, computers, rabbits, turkeys, glowsticks and noodles, thus I must be, liek, OMG some reincarnated spirit of an Ancient Egyptian cyborg were-turkey-rabbit priestess of the glowing noodles! It is my TROO FORM!" so I wondered what'd happen if I cobbled all my likes together into a "spirit form". ;) (No offence to those who aren't just on a bandwagon, but c'mon, some are so stupid they can't be anything other than piss-takes)

So, yay! More later, feeps.

Hmm. So if I like staplers, does that mean I'm the mortal incarnation of the God of Binding Things Together With Small Metal Objects?

Don't answer that. Though it's quite possible the dispensary machine you keep talking about was homicidal in a past life. Who says things have to reincarnated as humans, after all?

Don't answer that, either. As for your art, I'll give as constructive of an opinion as I can manage, provided I can bring myself to enough inertia to comment in the first place about it. Which is a task in itself.
Re-writing plot elements? I don't even think I saw the originals, or the last incarnation. Eh, there's no work that stands up to the test of time - at least, not from it's creator's point of view. None. Just consider how it was back when you wrote it. And consider that if you keep re-writing every part, it may never get done. And what's wrong with angst-ridden fluff?

....Don't answer that.

Wait. #1 of what, again?...

I'm suffering from a major lack of motivation to do arty stuff myself. I got two pics (well technically more) I got about halfway done that for some reason I am now 'stuck' on. (A Sea Dragon pic where I am at a loss as to how to put in the highlights and shadows for the scales and the highlights and shadows part for the gold dragon pic that's been sitting on my computer forever)

I'm a little better off with the writing side: finally started Asri's story and Alien: Guardian is still going well (speaking of which, now that I can get to my board again I need to post the newest chaps there). About rewrites...I know how you feel: a certain Drakkic of mine pops up everyonce in awhile to inquire about rewriting 'his' fic and lets not forget all the Mukata stuff I still need to get off my ass and write....

Yessssssm. It also means you've been reading my mind and seen a doodle I was working on of "you don't have to be mad to work here..." of Ping/Blip menacing a stapler. ("RAR!")

"Re-writing plot elements? I don't even think I saw the originals, or the last incarnation."
On my site! *plug* ;)

"#1 of what, again?"
#1 of my Dauntless series, as in, the very first "proper" story. So yar.

I noticed you'd got a couple of pictures in the works, you mentioned them on devFART. You could always upload what you have to scraps and leave it open to "redlining" or whatever you call lighting suggestions, apart from lighting suggestions. I prefer to see pencil work anyway, for that matter, whoever the artist is - you can just see more of the artist's thought processes, that way.

"Asri's story"
*looks hopeful* ;)

Meh, I would upload the pencil works if I didn't currently only have a ditigal camera to work with (the gold dragon one pencil work is already up on DA in the main gallery in case you haven't already looked. That one I scanned 'before' I deployed.). I have a sketch or two in my pad that I haven't uploaded for that very reason because I wasn't planning on coloring them at all.

Oh! And in case you didn't see it yet...I already uploaded the part of the first chap of Asri's fic on your board.

*nods* I wondered if you were still restricted to your camera (although I've seen some fair "scans" with them, so maybe you just need lots of practice). I just wondered if it was something you'd drawn before deploying, as I can't remember the first time I saw you mention it on dA. :)
