*lifts finger* I have found among my clutter a piece of paper with "trichotillomania" written on it. I had no idea what it meant (although I'm sure I did when I wrote it down), so I looked it up. Turns out it's a mental disorder, "causing individuals to pull out their own hair".

Now WHY in FORK did I write THAT down? If it was on a par with my photocpying an information leaflet for cyclopentolate eye drops because I thought I could use some of the side effects in "Bluefrost", where Ren is blinded, I could understand it. Likewise I could understand it if it was one of those incredibly long-winded medical descriptions that make giggle (just look up "Whipple's procedure" - you'll see why they shortened it to THAT and not just a descriptive thing like "hemiarthroplasty"). And if it was a cool word, I could understand it - my current favourite is "hypervitaminosis A" (Vitamin A poisoning) because it sounds like a planet. But trichotillomania? NO frickin' idea.

Frickin' laser beams on head.

Ahh, but THAT's the SHORT version. ;) I have the long-winded-six-million-horrible-words version photocopied out of a textbook of surgery somewhere... now if only I could remember which heap of junk I put it in...

Self-inflicted research, maybe? Perhaps you meant to use it in reference to yourself or such. I could see you falling victim to that one every so often... (your last couple posts, maybe?)

Heh; recently, yes. ;) But I wrote it down on the back of an old blank FP10 form, and I only get them in Community pharmacy (we don't have them at the hospital), and until I started locumming last time I worked there was in March.

Maybe it was OMG PREMONITION!

Or maybe I should just stop trying to put thought into each and every one of my comments.

You could also be the reincarnated form of a mental illness....

Makes as much sense as anything else....

I think I know why. I believe I mentioned it (or at least the 'nickname' for it) to you some time ago, as I belived I had a version of that (I have something similar, but not quite Trich as it involves more then just hair. Still a type of obsessive complusive disorder though)

Eh, it's a possibility, but unlikely, unless you were in Boots with me that day. ;)
