Edit: There's another of those "female vixens" on the VCL new-art pages. ARGH.

.....
......
.....I understood less than half of that...

*grabs dictionary, frantically flips through pages, has an anxiety attack halfway through the "P" section, and collapses on the floor, with convulsions*

I'm okay....

Joking, of course - I'm planning on taking chemistry (you should see some of thos- oh, wait, you work with pharmaceuticals - now if only I could spell pharmaceuticals...) as a major, so if nothing else, I can at least pretend I know how to pronounce them. Provided no one actually challenges me about it.

Moving on....
You could always try showing him/her the definition of the word, hope they catch onto the error of their ways....

Should be interesting to see their response, anyway.

Well, essentially "-ectomy" means "removal", so stuff like "duodenectomy" means "removal of duodenum" (part of the small intestine). And "-ostomy" means "to connect something to something" (I think) so "pancreaticojejunostomy" means joining what's left of the pancreas to what's left of the small bowel. See, easy when you know how. ;) Although learning chemisty won't really help with traslations, they're all bio-medical terms. ;)

Ah, I understand now. Completely. I am, of course, lying...

I meant that Chem would help with the pronounciations, possibly. At least with the phramaceuticals, since, depending on what field of it I go into, I might end up making them. Or designing them. Or something, anyway...
