I so badly have to get my notes into order and make them "proper". :( And I need to finish Avocet, too, which is making me flail with argh-ness at the way it's not finished. *le sob* At least I have the weekend off to think - I think I'll go to bed as soon as I get in on friday. :P Early mornings are teh suck.

I badly need to revamp my site, too, it's been on the "to do" list for so long I can't remember when I started to try and sort it. *le sob* Although I may be getting some more disk space and subdomains (like "dauntless.windchaser.co.uk" or "synth.windchaser.co.uk" or etc) and losing the ads and everything, which will be GOOD. YESS. I AM going to get the "Dauntless universe" section up at some point, too, with the species profiles and whatnot (part of me says "NOOOO preciouss, they STEALSS IT preciouss!" but the bigger part of me goes "OHMIGOD IDEAS MUST SHARE WITH EVERYONE SO THEY CAN FLAIL IN JOY LIKE MEEEE")

As an aside, I could do with some inspiration. :P Iios and Eri are taking up some of my time, but I want to be multitasking - I like to have a billion things on the go at once and I don't. :( I'm going to try and get Dan's picture at least to the inking stage, but my brain just isn't in its "art cycle" at the moment - it's in a "write cycle". Even with rocket fuel it's still stuck in "write". But that's not a bad thing, writing is fun. :)

SO GIVE ME IDEAS. I WANT IDEAS, PRECIOUSS. MY OWN BRAIN IS TOO SMALL. *flail* I need writing inspiration (and no, Iios, I don't mean you and Eri and babies) and STUFF INSPIRATION.

*flail*

Yes, I do need bed, thanks for asking. *collapses*

Why not just attempt to create a nonsentient synthoid character that is some sort of menial worker or companion model, who eventually grows sentience? I think that would be a rather nifty idea. Definitely explore the concepts and potential of the synthetic entity idea more, and you could come up with all types of awesome ideas! Of course, I'd recommend chatting with me more about this later, since it's hard for me to just spout out ideas without you being around to give me quick feedback.

Eh, well, that WAS kinda the basics of "Automata", but I've only written half of that anyway as I wasn't happy with the plot. ;) (As it's friday, I'll probably be on IM later, but this week has completely knackered me out, so I'll be napping as soon as I get in from work tonight. Catnaps are kickass. :) )

...although you're never about TO chat to half the time. ;) What with college for you and work for me and stuff. :P

Now that looks WEIRD with those date-stamps there. I thought the clock was broken.

Well, I would chat with you right now, but it's really late for you and I wouldn't want to keep you up for too long. Major time zone differences really suck.

Pfft, I don't care, tomorrow is Saturday, I'll happily stay up until 2am then sleep through until 11. :P My internal clock is messed up anyway, I came in from work, slept, got back up, and here I am :P

Hmm. Problem is, I tend to dwell more on the fantasy side of fiction. Things like magic, and sorcery, and swordplay, and external dimensions. Heroes, villains, death, tragedy, suffering, prevalence, conflict, combat, strife, death, life, the destruction of the universe, and foxes. Not much of which matches up with your universe, I'd say.

That, and I have a hard enough time keeping myself motivated to write, as it is.

I'll offer any ideas I can come up with, though. What currently has my curiosity in your worlds is the synth you keep playing around with - namely, what exactly are they, component-wise. Design, features, function - apparently you keep giving them vast arrays of emotionalisms, but aside from their structural strength and the knowledge they are machines, can't say I know much.

I'm still interested in the concept of synth removed from the organic stage - an entire society of them, so to speak. Not sure how this would play into your stories any, but I can hardly imagine it being a concept you'd refuse.

Oh, and which was Avocet, again?
