I'd be freaked out by them as well. They're mostly arachnid, btw. Those cute chubby cheeks are actually their palps - they open up when they're PO'ed.

It's in green pen because I doodled it at lunchtime at work, on sticky labels I had in my work badge. :P I'm working on a better version but I can't get the face to look how I want. Suffice to say, they're somewhat humanoid, but with a large abdomen, six limbs, and the ability to produce silk AND vemon. Yay. Oh! And they're fuzzy and cute-looking, if you like spiders.

Yay! Now let's got scare some robots with 'em...
