keaaluJust had the absolute holy bejeesus frightened out of me - fire alarm went off. Someone in the flat downstairs burnt their cooking and set it off.
It was quite a record for the number of fire engines that came out, though. :P I THOUGHT I'd phoned the agents to get it turned off in time - we have to ring and say "the alarm's going off on flat such-and-such" and they come out, do a quick check and turn it off before the fire brigade get here - but it turns out not.
Okay, so glad it was a false alarm, but DAMN that alarm is are loud - it's not just a little meemeemee alarm, it's a full blown SIREN. And it doesn't help that fire frightens me half to death *twitch*
