Tuesday, 29 August 2006 08:31 pmDepending on what happens, I may or may not do anything further with this - a) it'll be really hard to cut out, and b) I'm sure the background is going to drown out the picture. :( Oh well, we'll see.
Yes, I AM fully aware that angel wings are horribly overdone and meh, but pfft. It fits her personality, sothere.
Incidentally, this may be of vague interest to some people: a comparison between the original, done in 2004 (I think...?), and the above one.
Edit: hrf, for some reason the .gif isn't showing up. Never mind.
Edit2: Oh, now it is again. Hrf.

If background's going to be a problem, would using light colors work? If the background's mild enough and the shading on the main character is significant enough, it might be avoidable... but this depends on what you have in mind as a background.

Date: 31 Aug 2006 02:41 pm (UTC)The background does unfortunately drown out the image a little, like I was worried it might, so I'm either going to try masking it with something, or just plain starting again, as the image itself SHOULD come away from the background fairly easily - I'll then use the earlier background for somethng different. If not, oh well, chalk it down to inexperience and start something new, I suppose. :P
That's why I had about a billion "in progress" scans, so even if I do
muck it up beyond recoveryhave to rethink where I'm going with it, at least I have some good representative images I can use for other things. I'm considering using it on my foray into ATCs, as I want to work out a "signature" kinda card, and since Ivy is turning into a signature character - there's not too many of her sort around on the web, after all! - and I have plans, yes, planssss preciousss...(no subject)
