Art Dump (impending)

...but later. I sleepy and watching CSI.
I've had a go at drawing the REAL Magpie, as in Dauntless herself, but eh, starships ain't my forte so you'll have to just hope it carries across okay. Mind you, practice makes perfect, I suppose, and I need to practice drawing THINGS, not just anatomy and stuff. Got a profile sheet semi-finished for her too, so I'll put that up later; not coloured yet (my markers are still buried in the wardrobe, but I may throw on some colours (or should that be "some monochromes"?) on the computer later. Got a semi-lifelike doodle of "Keaalu" as well, so hrm. I like my new sketchbook, it am teh lully. :) The paper's got a bit more tooth to it than I'm used to (it's usually "the smoother, the better"), but for once I quite like the surface of it. I'm guessing it might hold watercolours quite well, too, so I'll see what I can do with that. Hurrah!
Magpie has a new little aspect to add to her profile: "ghosting" and "fireflies". "Ghosting" is where she's diverting power from her manifest in times of need, like navigating a difficult course or reinforcing her shielding, and so her manifest loses some of its "tactile" appearance and goes bluish and translucent, looking more like a hologram. Her "fireflies" are stray packets of data that present as erratic sparks/glitters of blue light around her; again they usually happen when she's "concentrating" and isn't dedicating so much processor power to her manifest, so tiny errors creep in as these little electric "bugs".
