Getting bored of these yet? Thrp

Dauntless
An attempt at drawing Dauntless herself; the top is "incomplete" because I haven't found my tracing paper to mirror her satisfactorily. Please be gentle, I've not had much practice with vessels and she took FOREVER to do.

Magpie profile
Working profile for Magpie (Incidentally, she is MagPIE, not MagPINE - the MagPINE is the griffiny looking foxcreature.) Not fully inked yet, no colours on it yet, and I cheated with her feet, but eh whatever. Cool

Magpine
And lastly an attempt at a semi "realistic"-looking Keaalu-thing. Hrf. I want to colour it but my markers are still in my wardrobe, bah. Maybe tomorrow.

More later! I just need to finish them up. And I WANNA DRAW TREEPIES. *doodles* I have a reference photo of one and he looks majorly grouchy.

Edit: Argh tupoes ate bell.

Heh, that's really cool how the actual ship looks somewhat like a nonanthro bird of sorts. :D

Well, she's always been a "Starhawk", even when she was only a "platform" for me to use when I was writing fanfiction. Image It's odd, Dauntless is actually my OLDEST concept, but as a CHARACTER she's one of the newest. *ponders*

Maybe I should write up a dull little history thing for her. *taps lips, ponders*

Your ship design seems quite nice considering you're just starting out, and I agree that it does look somewhat avian. :> I don't have a lot else to contribute except that I love all of these.

Wow! Dauntless looks a lot more bird-like than I'd expected... although it's always described as a bird so I guess I just expected less. Without atmosphere in space, I always consider aerodynamic space-ships to be all aesthetic and not practical.
Still, super-cool looking. (Especial the landing gears.)

Well, she was designed to be fully atmosphere capable (primarily so, in fact - for little planet-to-planet "hops" rather than the protracted journeys she was eventually used for), hence the streamlining (and I can't draw aeroplanes either, bah. She'd probably stall out with aerofoils that thick.) The fact she CRASHED wasn't anything to do with her capacity to fly in air. ;)

Thanks though. ;)

Of course the Dauntless would be animal-shaped... not a bad spaceship design, especially considering you don't draw them much.

I like the hologram's dress design (one has to wonder how she decides on which clothes to wear, consider her accumulation of other physical traits)
