Someone tell me: short of making everything pornographic, and mentioning it all the time, how do I make my fiction interesting enough that more than about 7 people actually want to read it? :P

Plus, she says, when she should be in bed, asmeeping, how do you make a character good enough that a person will CARE about them enough to WANT to read about them? (Rach, you seem to have got it down pat, what with Spider and all that. *le sigh*) I would happily sacrifice 50% of my drawing ability just for someone or two to NOTICE (and for the merits of the character itself, rather than just the aesthetics).

Hm hm hm... I have been listening to "Mars", by Holst, and "Die Fledermaus", by... ohstupidwoman, was it Strauss? Anyway, yeah, them two, and I have been posessed by this urge to "rewrite" a really dire crossover fanfic thing I did aaages ago (and I mean like 1996-old - woah, that's ten YEARS, man. WOW *stare*). *shifty eyes* Mostly because I remember writing it with this music on, and I'm back in the vibe, and Die Fledermaus makes for a really wicked piece to escape from your pursuers too (the bit I love starts about 7 minutes through, if you're bothered to wonder about imagining it ;) ) - caught in the middle of a ballroom, then are surrounded by dancers, who gradually tempt the pursuers away ("They're not going anywhere, come dance!") and then you melt into the crowd and away. Yay!

And, um... )

Mars would make SUCH a KICKASS intro piece for the arrival of a Kiravai Imperium Destroyer, though. *quivers excitedly*
