Whoa must my dreams have ever been weeird last night. I got woken up by my door buzzer at about 8:30 by the postman with a parcel, so I say "oki I'll be down" and get to the front door and wtf? I've put the chain on it... in my sleep. I have seriously NO KNOWLEDGE of ever doing this. ¬_¬ I must have sleepwalked to do it. My dreams were fairly messed up anyway, though - I think we were going on a family skiing holiday, and I was all stressed out because I can't ski (well, all right, maybe I can, I've just never tried. ;) ), and we were going down the hill to pick up our skis and it wasn't so much a ski slope as... a few degrees off vertical. :P And it was like polished ice and all these skiiers were merrily zipping down it as if it were the most normal thing in the world...

In the real world I went to Bury market on the train for the first time in aages. Along by the river the fields were all flooded, on the way out of Ipswich - I hadn't realised we'd had so much rain. :\ But mmmm, olives; I've not had olives in ages. And peppadews with feta cheese in, and nice oniony foccacia which made the train smell of roast onions on the way home. ¬_¬ And roast salmon! And cherries! And lovely fresh skate! And homemade soup! And thusly I remember why Bury market beats the pants off Ipswich market. I shall go again. :) I'll have to go when the kids are all at school next time, though, because crikey, the carriage was FULL of the little ba-... darlings, all playing their noise* really loudly through the tiniest speakers ever so it sounded like they were trying to use a sweetie tin as an amplifier. ¬_¬

Now! FOOOooddd.

* - I refuse to call it "music" because that's just giving it way too much credit.

Pretty much as I remember skiing, except that by the time you're on the hill you're on skis and not that agile and they're just zipping past you ... (and skiing has to be learned, you don't jusdt pick it up naturally - If you're anything like me it's not worth it, though. I'd have stopped after my first skiing holiday at age five, if my parents had allowed it.)

I swear I wasn't feeling hungry a minute ago ... ;)

I've kinda wanted to learn to ski, but I think I'd be crap at it. *nods* Not the most agile of peoples.

Sorry! ¬_¬ *pushes food over*

For me it had nothing to do with agility. It was pretty much the things in your dream - not being able to choose the speed or difficulty level I felt comfortable with and being cut by more advanced skiers all the time - I was simply scared I'd be run over or fall and afraid I'd be left behind by my family/class.

Crosscountry skiing was fine with me, though. (And I was never forced into it.)

Maybe you subconsciously put the chain on the door to keep your family out so they couldn't drag you to the ski hill? Either that or it means something kinky. XD

Hey, at least no Seekers this time. Unless they were skiing. <_<

Don't give Celerity any ideas. ¬_¬ She doesn't need any help :P

No, I concur on the "no Seekers". There was just a really, really non-PC cartoon Native American explaining where the long and glorious history of "ranger fire marshals" had come from. He wore a brown ranger uniform, but had a big green stripe across his face and a feather in his hat, and was called *wince* "Conker".

LOL! 'Ranger fire marshals'? Is that something like the Forest Fire Supression Service? <_< BTW my transformer-obsessed friend (the one who gave me the tf2007 in WWII idea - I can't escape it, noooo!) is half Shuswap and I bet he would totally laugh his ass off at your description of 'Conker'. XDDD

LOL! I bet seekers would love skiing - preferably ski jumping. Whether they'd actually land or just fly right back to the top is a different question, though.
