Another week...

...another post. What can I say - my life is hardly wowyayuberexciting! at the moment.
Yesterday I finally finished at Boots in the town centre - I spent three weeks there, and I must say that by yesterday it felt like I'd been there forever; not because it was boring, just because I fitted in pretty well and just go on with things. :) They had a little party in the canteen for two of the ladies who were retiring, as well, so I got all cake and niceness too. Which was yay! Three weeks there, and I managed to get to two leaving-parties - says something about the management that everyone's leaving. :P The first party on the first week I was there was for employee was going off globetrotting, so I tried not to look jealous... but hey, I'll be able to do that someday.
Monday it's off to Norwich again, for the fourth residential training course. Five days of getting fed on the WDC budget, woo; two days are planned in to one of those swanky golf-course/hotel things just outside town (as there were no rooms available at the Uni), and they do a superb buffet lunch, so I'm looking forward to that! All I'm not looking forward to is the fact that after that week I'm scheduled to give my teaching session (hayfever products, what joy. :P), which I've not completely finished yet. Argh. Public speaking is NOT my forte. And the week after that I have to have a blood test, to make sure my HepB inoculations took - I don't know why OH decided to pick on me to be inoculated against it, I'm hardly in a place where needle-stick is going to be much of a risk, but y'know, they decided to pick on me anyway. *wah*
"Keaalu" has changed how she looks a little, as well. I decided that since I graduate towards cross-foxes so much, in preference to silver foxes, perhaps she should be a cross fox. So now she is! This colour (if M$N works) - industry calls it "pearl cross" (I think because it has the white tips to the hairs), but I call it "a shame it's not got a live fox still inside it". Ohwell.
There's been a new addition to my little list of characters-that-represent-me, too - "Dusk". She appeared out of the ether, and purely because I saw the word "Dusk" and it just clicked. Anyway. :) She's not some "inner me" or a persona or a roleplay character or anything, just a way of representing myself online (partly as I can't draw humans, and partly because it's more fun). Dusk is a synthoid Kiravai pen, and I suppose she represents the side of me that wants to look glamorous, and have lots of clothes and jewellery and stuff. Also, of course, she's the side of me that has an irrepressable love of all things robotic - hence why I have so many synthoid characters (originally Ivy, Azure and Emily Manning, and now Iios and the Twins (Breeze (f) and Zephyr (m)) too). And for a species that started out as intentionally so mean and vicious and overbearing, the Kiravai have mellowed out a lot and become one of my favourites - they may still be warmongering Empire-builders, but they're polite and chivalrous and nice TO EACH OTHER (even if they're misguided about how they see the rest of the galaxy).
Plus, of course, Dusk is humanoid, whereas Keaalu isn't supposed to be, and although Teal is humanoid I don't ALWAYS want Spectrum Officers leaping about all over the place and being silly. :) I'll see about getting a picture done sometime.
...Well, that is, after I'm done beading. I dug my beads out the other day (I don't know why) and got making jewellery again. Woo. I want to see if I can get any good photos of some of it, sometime, so I can upload it to my site (at last).
Well, that's me done talked out. I'm off. :)
