Memento Mori, Chapter 20

( Fake cut to chapter 20 (Dreamwidth Mirror)) In which Halli and Rae discuss some of the more worrying things preying on their minds, and Blink learns a little more about her new home, and new hosts. And works out from crossing swords with Tevak that escaping is not going to be easy.

Another longish chapter (7500-ish words). Because I never seem to have any joy with dividing chapters up, I decided to just... keep going until the point I'd decided on as a stop point.

But, is this Memento Mori the story you're looking into self-publishing? I definitely should read it at some point, but maybe I'll wait until you're done. :D I'd love to see the finished product.

If your fanfictions are anything to go by, your original story will probably be the best thing I'll have read in a long time.

Well, it's one of the stories I'm hoping to self-publish (eventually, if I ever get it finished XD). I've only finished one to the point I can work on editing and polishing, though - this is still MOSTLY NaNoWriMo rubbish, haha. *shifty eyes*

Some of the characters from my Blue universe have ended up in them - mostly my OCs (Celerity and Slipstream in one; the second is technically set on Cybertron, although the cast are (almost) all OCs, but I never call it by name), and TC has a sorta cameo (albeit under a nickname *cough*toavoidissueswithcopyright*cough*) in two of them XD (Holy run-on sentence, Batman.) Even "Blink" in Memento Mori is Whites' little girl (from Future Tense) - she's just grown up. BAHAHA no what do you mean obsessed.

I have the first draft of everything I've written so far up on LJ. I just need to, y'know, FINISH things. XD

Lol, I thought I recognized the name Blink! And there's nothing wrong with your obsession. Many of us share in it. ;) So if you're crazy, take solace in the fact that you aren't alone.

Well, if and when it's done, whether it ever makes it to paperback or not, I'll definitely be reading it. :) It sounds great!
