Probably why LJ has a post-by-phone option for paid users. Or is it by cell phone only? I just use a surge protector, back-up my data, and hope I remember where the warranty documents are. Did it ever rain, then?

Hm, maybe, or maybe you can post-by-phone purely because so many mobiles are WAP-enabled these days and it'd make sense to be able to. ;) (Mind you, the idea of spelling out your message over the phone is quite amusing. "Yes, my username is "Hshrifti", that's spelt H-S-H-R-I-F-T-I, but I can't tell you my password because OMG THAT'S SECRET! What do you mean you need it? Oh all right then, my password is *-*-*-*-*, did you get that? Right, now, my post. 'OMG it was superkitty's birthday today and we all went to that theme park that's liek (please spell it "l-i-e-k", kthx)..."

I use a surge protector too, but even though it cost me a small fortune I don't trust the way it says on it "this will not protect from a direct lightning strike". :P (I suppose it's asking for a bit, trying to get it to protect against several million volts going to earth through the household electrics ;) ).

It rained in the end, hence "stair-rods" - I have no idea why I picked that up off my Dad and no idea where it came from to start with, I guess because it's so heavy it looks like the rails off a bannister or something... myeh. *shrugs*
