Well, here's that picture of Azure I mentioned - it's not finished by a long shot, but it's getting there, and of course I need to get the ones of Aileena and Yaaren (aka Lena and Ren) I'm working on semi-finished as well, now.

Swanlike

Technically, she shouldn't have hair but feathers, but hey, she's Synth. The original storyline says it was one of Malachite's alterations (wanting his pretty jewel to look her best), but I'm working on a new version of it.

So, in being Malachite's "pretty jewel", she's probably got more of a programmed mind, I'm guessing. And good point about the "shouldn't have hair, but that's all right", because lifelike robots can look like anything at all, darn it! That's why Zardios doesn't have an exact species name. :p

Speaking of Zardios... should we talk about some art agreement together? :)

Well, Malachite wanted an "equal" at his side, since no "nasty biologicals" were good enough in his mind - but then he's also something of a chauvinist, and subscribes to the traditional masculo-centric Kiravai way of thinking in that women were put into the galaxy for perpetuating the species and tending to the males. Azure is as fully autonomous and self-aware as Ivy (since Ivy used a lot of her own systems and basal programs to support her, when the Kiravai techs couldn't get her to stay alive) and it took a lot of "persuasion" on Malachite's part to keep her with him.

Lii put him in his place, eventually. :P

I don't have many Synth in the "canon" universe - there's only three so far, those being Ivy, Azure (who I still need to find a better place in the timeline to introduce) and Magpie/Dauntless herself (who finally attains sentience in about story #8), but there may be more a longer way down the line. ;) Since all are "related", their brains work in similar ways, but they don't behave very similarly. :\

And yes, art-wise I'm waiting on you to tell me what you want. ;) *cracks whip* (Hm, reminds me, Ren in leather uniform, I never did draw it... *ponders*)

Nah, I enjoy listening to people's ideas! I'm usually the only one talking to people about stuff, and then they just say "oh, that's cool!", and don't offer any ideas back!

Pff, noo. ;) MY lovely Ren (http://www.windchaser.co.uk/dauntless/cast/ren.html). Short for Yaaren. Ex-gladiator. Eight-foot-tall, green skin, etc etc, and the only character of mine I've ever briefly felt remotely interested in at a level that's not just "platonic".

"Ren" is a very common name, y'know, if you dig around a bit. ;)

And... I should be in bed. Work. Argh. *snores*

What the pic you did of him in drag doesn't count? *runs before Ren can catch her*

Hmm. She looks elegant, if that's the word. Besides, if she is a custom job, whoever made/ordered her would probably want her to look unique as well...

Interesting bio on Ren, by the way. I'm still impressed with the detail you put into your characters, worlds, technologies, etc...
