...thanks, One Railways. I don't know what I'd have done without your valuable insight.
MUAHAHA, HOLLOWED-OUT VOLCANO HERE I COME!

Habba!
His idea of a “light supper” was as extravagant as anything he ever cooked – a red-fleshed river fish, poached to perfect tenderness, lightly spiced with sweetly ripe orange fireberries, and served with a selection of steamed brightly coloured vegetables. He’d laid the meagre kitchen table, candles and all, and was busy opening a bottle of wine, back to the door, as she came in. She smiled, sadly, and settled in her place at the table, resisting the urge to sigh.
He picked up on her mood instantly, however, no matter how well she thought she’d hidden it. “What, what? Did I do something wrong?” he was all over her in an instant, hands on her shoulder, leaning around her. “I thought you were hungry!”
She smiled and licked his nose, affectionately. “I am, and I appreciate it. I just…” she sighed, and leaned their heads together. “You know I would gladly forsake any and all of this pampering, all the beautiful food and trips to the theatre and gifts and… everything… if only you’d extend a little of this gentle, affectionate person to other people.”
“But Eri, sweetling-”
“No wheedling tonight, please. You know that out of everything that is the one thing that would make me happiest.”
